Hearty Oatmeal
Ingredients:
- 1 cup frozen fruit
- 1 banana, sliced
- ½ cup “old fashioned oats” oatmeal (not instant)
- ½ cup skim milk
- ½ cup fat free Greek yogurt (Fage brand recommended)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Directions:
In a microwave safe bowl, microwave frozen fruit for one minute. Add oats, banana, and milk, and then microwave again for one and a half minutes. Add vanilla extract and yogurt and stir until well combined.
Alternative: if using only blueberries, use ½ tsp of vanilla extract and ½ teaspoon of cinnamon instead.
