Happy Hour How To

Second Friday Happy Hour:

This idea comes from Vamp KT, who shared one month’s invitation with me. She and her husband host a happy hour every second Friday of each month, and it’s been a huge hit! She writes, “every month there is a different crowd and it's also allowed our different friend groups to co-mingle, so it's brought about some great networking.”

To 2nd Friday Happy Hour this Friday!

This month's theme: Fondue and Martinis!

Please bring:

• Cool people

• Stuff for martini's. Vodka, gin, mixers, etc or whatever else you like to drink. (Tip: If you are coming with a few people or a group, pick a type of martini you want to make and go in on the ingredients together).  We will also provide some alcohol, ingredients, and ice.

• We will prepare the food (since fondue doesn’t lend itself to potluck), and are asking people to pitch in just $2 or $3 each towards the food fund. We will have two fondues: 1) oil and 2) cheese.  For the oil fondue we will have beef, chicken, shrimp, mushrooms, and vegetables for the frying. For the cheese fondue, we will have a variety of breads, veggies, and other tasty items for cheese dipping fun time.

• Happy hour starts at 5:30, which now = almost dark.  We would like people to show up at 5:30/6:00 and stay for a drink or two/however long it goes/however long you can stay.  The last happy hour went until 10-ish, which was great.

Please have a designated driver or drink responsibly.

Upcoming happy hour themes:  January = recover from holidays, February = tasting of home brews (such as our raspberry liquor) with food yet to be determined.  We also now have a projector/screen, so future happy hours may be followed by a movie night.
