Caramel and Chocolate Sauces
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 6 tablespoons sweet butter
- 2/3 cup white sugar
- 2/3 cup dark brown sugar
- 1/3 cup Hershey’s baker’s cocoa
- pinch of salt
Directions:In a saucepan over medium high heat, slowly bring to a boil while stirring, heavy cream and butter. Stir until melted and it comes to a boil.
Add in white sugar and dark brown sugar and a small pinch of salt; stir constantly until the sugars have melted. This is the caramel sauce. Set aside half for the caramel sauce and keep the other half in the pan
Reduce the heat. Sift in Hershey's baker's cocoa. Use a whisk to get the chocolate smooth. Keep stirring until all the lumps are gone.
Serve over fresh fruit, ice cream, cake, or by itself!
